At Inborn Vitality, we listen to your concerns, work with your values, and perform thorough examinations to determine the most appropriate care management plan to help you achieve your health goals. Our care plans may include chiropractic care, specific exercises and/or additional nutritional, educational or ergonomic support where necessary.
We will always let you know when co-management or referral to another practitioner is needed, and whilst you do not need a referral for chiropractic care, if you are under the care of another health practitioner it is important to let us know to appropriately collaborate with them.
At Inborn Vitality we tailor our chiropractic care and adjustment approaches to you and your unique needs. Firmer adjustments are perfect for some people, while lower force adjustments are better suited to others. Adjustments can be done by hand, using hand held instruments or with special adjusting tables.
Our Most Commonly Used Techniques include:
Thompson Technique is a specific method for analysing and adjusting the spine that utilises a special table with several segments called drop-pieces. The drop pieces allow a quick, small impulse when you are adjusted. For many people this makes it more comfortable. Cavitation, or “popping”, of the joint typically does not occur. The majority of the adjustments are performed with the client lying face down.
Sacro-Occipital Technique (SOT) is a specific method for analysing and adjusting the spine that utilises soft tissue releases and blocks (or wedges). Cavitation, or “popping”, of the joint typically does not occur. Adjustments may be performed with the client lying face down or up. For more details CLICK HERE
Activator uses a small, hand-held metal instrument that delivers a gentle thrust to spinal joints. The thrust is developed from the rapid release of a compressed spring inside the instrument. Cavitation, or “popping”, of the joint typically does not occur. The majority of the adjustments are performed with the client lying face down.
Webster Technique is a specific chiropractic analysis and adjustment used primarily on pregnant women. The goal of the adjustment is to reduce the effects of sacral/pelvic subluxations and or sacroiliac joint dysfunction.
Neuro-Emotional Technique (NET) is a holistic, mind-body approach that focuses on identifying & alleviating underlying stress patterns. NET acknowledges the relationship between the body's emotional health, environmental toxicity, nutritional balance and structural integrity to help improve physical and behavioural conditions."
Advanced Biostructural Correction (ABC) ™ is a full-body, protocol-based method of correcting and optimising the biomechanics of the human skeletal framework. The majority of the adjustments are performed standing up or seated.
The SD or Sympathetic Dominance Protocol is a relatively new approach to care. It is aimed at helping people who have been under chronic stress. The SD protocol uses a type of manual adjustment combined with postural exercises supported by recommendations on your nutrition and daily routines.
The SD protocol may be applicable for you if you suffer from the following;
- Chronically tight neck and shoulder muscles
- Regular headaches
- Dry skin, brittle nails and/or hair falling out
- Digestive issues
- Hormonal issues
- Chronically feeling cold
- Sensitivity to light or sound
For more information about the SD protocol, you can read about it here.
