Meet Dr Vanessa Barry, Chiropractor
Experiencing the Effects of Chiropractic Care
Dr Vanessa’s chiropractic journey began in her 20s. Plagued with digestion and immune issues, she was always tired. A coworker had recently begun seeing a chiropractor and kept encouraging Dr Vanessa to go see him, but she was reluctant. Eventually, she went to the chiropractor to get her colleague to stop pestering her.
The experience was unlike any other doctor’s visit Dr Vanessa had ever had. It was holistic and focused on educating her about the importance of the nervous system in overall health and function. She also learned that she had scoliosis. Through her chiropractic adjustments, her digestive and immune systems began functioning better, and her energy levels increased.
Dr Vanessa noticed how all the clients were so happy coming in to see the chiropractor, and that he was making a real difference in their lives – and she determined to become a chiropractor and make a difference as well.
Education and Experience
After graduating with her Masters of Chiropractic degree from Macquarie University in 2006, Dr Vanessa went on to pursue advanced education in the area of pregnancy and paediatric chiropractic care. She has received a post-graduate certificate in Chiropractic Paediatrics (CACCP) by the Academy of Chiropractic Family Practice and the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA), and a post-graduate diplomate of the Australian College of Chiropractic Paediatrics (DACCP).
She is also certified in Websters Technique and Myo Munchee; and has studying Babywearing with Die Trageschule.
Dr Vanessa worked as an associate for a few years before opening her own practice. As Inborn Vitality has grown, we’ve moved from our original home office to our current location in Mascot, which is ideally situated to serve the Maroubra community, including Botany, the inner west, the eastern suburbs and the southwest.

Away From the Office
When she’s not helping other families, Dr Vanessa enjoys spending time with her family – her husband and two beautiful daughters. They love getting outdoors, going to the beach, camping and enjoying all our wonderful community offers.
